On 24-29 October 2016 Ms. Suzanna Shamakhyan, Head of Department of International Cooperation and Ms. Veronika Aghajanyan, Leading Specialist on international projects of the same Department participated in the workshop held in The Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki. The workshop was held in the scope of ERASMUS+ Capacity building project Harmony" ("Development of approaches to harmonization of comprehensive internationalization strategies in higher education, research and innovation at EU and partner").
The meeting gathered 30 representatives of different universities from Armenia, Belarus, Italy, Portugal, Russia, Spain and UK, who gatheres to share their best practices of internationalization of education and research in the partner universities and countries. The results of the Working Package 1, which focused on revealing the state-of-art of internationalization in partner universities, were presented and discussed. The project is now moving to the next stage of conducting external surveys on the level of internationalization in other universities in Armenia, Belarus and Russia. Based on the analysis of conducted of those surveys, the project consortium will develop a toolkit on internaitonalization of education, research and innovation.
Running for three years, the Harmony project’s focus is to improve the development of approaches to the harmonisation of internationalisation strategies in Higher Education, research and innovation in EU countries and Armenia, Belarus and Russia. The project is funded through the Erasmus+ Key Action 2: Cooperation for Innovation and Exchange of Good Practices programme, which focuses on enabling organisations to work together on sharing, developing and transferring innovative practices in education between different countries.
