Lecture Room Honoring Yeghishe Charents Opens at RAU

On March 16, a new lecture hall honoring Yeghishe Charents, one of the greatest Armenian poets, writers and translators, was opened in Russian-Armenian University.

The lecture room was opened on the occasion of the 120th birthday anniversary of Charents, “without whom the Armenian literature and the worldview of the Armenian nation would have been incomplete”, as Head of RAU Department of Armenian Language and Literature Prof. Azat Yeghiazaryan mentioned.

The literature lovers among RAU students together with an instructor of the Armenian language and literature Ms. Naira Iskandaryan organized an evening of arts dedicated to Charents. The students recited his poems accompanied by the guitar, the piano and the violin and performed songs inspired by his poems.
