RAU Delegation Visited Japan
 
On June 12-17, the delegation from Russian-Armenian University, including RAU Vice-Rector Mr. Gagik Sarkisyan, Head of Department of General Physics and Quantum Nano-Structures Mr. Hayk Sarkisyan, Head of Laboratory of Analytical Biochemistry Mr. Lernik Hunanyan as well as students from the Foreign Region Studies program visited Japan.
 
During the visit, the representatives of RAU met with the executives of Tsukuba University, Tokai University, Japan Foundation and ICU High School. The parties discussed the prospects for further cooperation and bilateral relations development. 
 
A particular attention was paid to the implementation of joint projects and programs, research collaboration and effective academic mobility. RAU delegation also met with RAU students who are currently studying at Tsukuba University within the academic mobility programs.
 
The meetings resulted in designing ways for Russian-Armenian University and Japanese universities and research centers to work together in the fields of Physics and Technology, Medicine and Biology, IT and High Technology. The parties stressed the need to create conditions for studying the Japanese language and the Armenian-Japanese historical ties as well as for promoting the Japanese culture among students in Armenia.
