Inter-project coaching conducted by Erasmus + HARMONY project team for BOOST project

 
 
On 25 May 2017 Russian-Armenian University and Eurasia International University on behalf of Erasmus+ "Development of approaches to harmonization of comprehensive internationalization strategies in higher education, research and innovation at EU and partner" (HARMONY) capacity building project team have conducted an inter-project coaching for the Armenian universities involved in Erasmus + "Boosting Armenian Universities Internationalization Strategy & Marketing” (BOOST) capacity building project. Considering the similarities in overall objectives of the projects, that is the development of internationalization of higher education, it was decided by two project consortiums that an inter-project coaching should be conducted. 
 
BOOST project is coordinated by Armenian State Pedagogical University and is a national project involving the following local universities and partners: American University of Armenia, Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas, Gyumri State Pedagogical Institute after M. Nalbandyan, Vanadzor State University after H.Toumanyan, National Information Center for Academic Recognition & Mobility and Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia.
 
In the scope of the event, HARMONY team shared the project results that have already been reached in the first 1.5 years of the project. Ms. Arevik Ohanyan, Head of Quality Assurance Department, Eurasia International University and Ms. Kristina Tsaturyan, Head of Department of International Cooperation, Armenian State Pedagogical University provided a general overview of the projects. Furtheron, Ms. Suzanna Shamakhyan, Head of Department of International Cooperation, Russian-Armenian University conducted a session on the questionnaires and methodology that was developed by HARMONY project consortium in order to assess the state-of-art of internationalization in partner universities and partner countries. A detailed discussion was conducted how the questionnaires were developed, what best practices and results of which projects have been used.
 
The session was continued by presentations on the results of the surveys in Armenia, Belarus and Russia which Ms. Ohanyan and Ms. Shamakhyan demonstrated to the Armenian partners. Ms. Veronika Aghajanyan, Manager of international programmes and grant projects, Department of International Cooperation, Russian-Armenian University also presented the Quality Control Plan that was developed by RAU and Aston University for HARMONY project and elaborated what tools are used to ensure the quality of the project. 
 
Ms. Lana Karlova, National Coordinator of National Erasmus+ Office of Armenia also took part in the inter-project coaching and highlighted the importance of sharing the results between projects in order to ensure better outcome in long-term perspective.

In the scope of the meeting it was decided that HARMONY and BOOST project teams will put efforts to continue cooperation in the future, in order to ensure the synergy between the two Erasmus + project and contribute to further development of internationalization of higher education, especially in Armenia
