ARMENQA Workshop at RAU
On December 15-16, a two-day workshop was held at Russian-Armenian University (RAU) in the scope of the TEMPUS ARMENQA project (Implementation of National and Sectorial Qualifications Frameworks in Armenia).
The speakers of the workshop elaborated on the development of new educational standards and qualifications frameworks for specialists in Physics and Engineering Physics.
ARMENQA Physics team members - Eduard Ghazaryan, Atom Muradyan, Khachatur Nerkararyan, Hayk Sargsyan, David Hayrapetyan - presented reports on the following topics: Formulating Learning Outcomes on the Unit Course Level; Formulating the Goal and Learning Outcomes on the Programme Level; Content of the Programme, Teaching and Learning Methods, ECTS; Criteria-Based Student Assessment. Professor Magnus Johansson from Linkoping University, Sweden, facilitated the event on the part of the EU.
Prof. Hayk Sargsyan, head of RAU Department of General Physics and Quantum Nanostructures, highlighted that the workshop aimed to acquaint lecturers from different universities along with representatives of research centers and technological companies with the new requirements for graduates in physics and technology. The workshop provided participants with a great opportunity to discuss and identify relevant issues in the field, as well as to establish mutually beneficial ties and research collaborations.
