RAU delegates participated in the kick-off meeting
of TEMPUS Project "LEAGUE"
 
 
Representatives from Russian Armenian (Slavonic) University – Suzanna Shamakhyan (Head Of Department of International Cooperation) and Larisa Avetisyan (Leading Specialist in Quality Control Department) have participated in the kick-off meeting of Tempus Project “LEAGUE” - A Network for Developing Lifelong Learning in Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine.
 
The kick-off meeting took place in Linnaeus University, Växjö, Sweden.
 
From January 20 – 22, 2014, the meeting gathered 50 representatives from partner countries to discuss issues of developing national structures for competence-improving education and develop plan of the project. Besides discussing above mentioned issues, the host university shared the experience of dealing with the methods and policies of life-long learning -LLL.
 
The wider objective of the “LEAGUE” project is to tackle the unemployment and lack of innovation due to a gap between labor market needs and skills of labor force.
 
Tempus is an educational program, financed by the EU, which supports the modernization of partner countries of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Western Balkans, and the Mediterranean region, mainly through cooperation projects between universities.
