The 7th Oral Speech Contest of Japanese in Armenia

RAU students won the leading places in the 7th Oral Speech Contest of Japanese in Armenia for university and high school students.

David Gritsenko (4-year student in Foreign Area Studies) and Lusine Vardanyan (3-year student in Foreign Area Studies) took the 2nd place award, and Christina Avanyan (1-year student in Journalism) took the 3nd place award.

During the competition the participants were to talk on a topic of their interest. “My speech was entitled ‘What is success’. Success is, of course, personal, so what I did, was to try and formulate a universal approach that focused on ambition and constant fight for what you want”, confided David.

The 7th Oral Speech Contest of Japanese in Armenia took place at Russian-Armenian University on October 7. The event was organized jointly by the Embassy of Japan in Armenia and the Armenian Association of Japanese Language Teachers. The competition’s main aim was to spark interest among Armenian students towards the Japanese language.
