RAU Students at Lomonosov 2017
On April 11-14the XXIVth International Scientific Youth Forum “Lomonosov 2017” took place at Moscow State University (MSU). This year the forum was dedicated to K.E. Tsiolkovky’s 160th birthday anniversary and the 60th anniversary since the launch of the first artificial satellite. Students from Russian-Armenian University (RAU) delivered research reports at the International Conference “Lomonosov”, which was held within the International Scientific Youth Forum “Lomonosov-2017”. The Conference comprised 35 sections reflecting the main areas of modern fundamental and applied science. 
RAU Ph.D. students, Ani Martirosyan and Seda Musaelyan, presented their research reports at the following sections: Discourse Theory and Communications and Clinical Psychology and Psychosomatics. Ani Martirosyan’s report “Classification of Menacing Speech Acts in Political Discourse” was announced the best in the section.
RAU Institute of Mathematics and High Technology was presented at the Conference by Amalia Manukyan, Vahram Arakelov and Siranush Ginosyan. The competition committee handed it to Vahram Arakelov and gave him “The Best Oral Presentation” for his research report Flavonoids as Potential Inhibitors of African Swine Fever.

In the section of Oriental and African Studies RAU Master’s student in International Relations and Diplomacy Andranik Hovhannisyan’s presentation “Islamic Radicalism in China: Genesis, Evolution and Practice” was recognized among the best by the expert committee.

The students of RAU Institute of Law and Politics Hasmik Soghomonyan (the section of History of Russian State and Law) and Milena Sargsyan (the section of Theory of Law and State) also received “The Best Presentation” certificates at the Conference.
The “Lomonosov” Conference aimed at encouraging creativity among students and young scientists, involving them into research, developing common educational and scientific platform for young researchers from CIS countries, and helping them establish contact.
